Leslie & Luke hired us to photograph their Homestead Resort wedding in beautiful Glen Arbor, Michigan. Leslie & Luke convinced the resort management to expand their horizons and allow the first ever dock wedding at the Homestead Resort. Heather and I were so grateful to be a part of such a unique opportunity. Their wedding at the end of a long Lake Michigan dock as a late summer sunset approached, was simply breathtaking. They were wed under a family made archway that they will now put in their home garden as a constant reminder of that day (paired with our images of course). I will forever remember their first dance with that storybook sunset behind them.
"Steve and Heather are amazing! Our wedding photos could not possibly be more gorgeous. My husband and I are both very shy individuals and they both made us feel so at ease during a time that can be pretty stressful for introverts! Several months in advance Steve met with us at a coffee shop to discuss our wishes and learn more about us. It was a great way to break the ice and make us a little bit more comfortable on our big day. Both Heather and Steve went above and beyond to make sure that we felt comfortable, special, and beautiful. Steve even sweet talked our wedding coordinator into taking down some flags, that the venue had preciously told us could not be removed, to make sure our pictures would turn out better. I cannot wait to plaster our walls with the breathtaking images that they captured for us. Thank you Van De Steenes!"
Thank you to Leslie and Luke for trusting in us to photography your beautiful wedding day.
